Jonah Bobo is a New York City native. Although he’s just nine years old, he can already be seen and heard in a variety of productions. Bobo has been seen as Zach in the feature film Around the Bend, which also starred Christopher Walken, Michael Caine, and Josh Lucas. For the last couple of years you could have seen him at the Sundance Film Festival, where he played Shamus Noblet in Strangers with Candy (2005), and starred as Sam Zaidman opposite Mary Louise Parker in The Best Thief in the World (2004). His most recent film was Zathura where he played the character, Danny.

Jonah Bobo’s voice is familiar to many households with kids because he is the voice of Austin on the Nickelodeon series “Backyardigans,” and as the voice of Tod in “Fox and the Hound Two.” Jonah Bobo loves good ‘ol rock’ n roll music, enjoys playing the piano, and is a huge baseball fan (rooting for both the New York Mets and the New York Yankees). His favorite music band is Green Day.

Jonah Bobo was born on Jan. 24, 1997. He learned how to read when he was 2 1/2 years old. He has a younger sister that is 5 years younger than he is, and is named Georgia. In his spare time he enjoys playing catch with his dad, playing the piano, listening to rock 'n' roll music, or riding his bike. He also likes to play Yankee Monopoly and 1313 Dead End Drive. Three actors that he looks up to are Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey, and Will Smith. He loves the New York Yankees.

Jonah has been Nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM Young Actor Age Ten or Younger for his role in Zathura.
