Banana Guys
Here’s a craft/recipe you’ll really like. You even get to play with your food before you eat it.
What you need: Butter knife, ripe banana, ripe orange, regular soft cream cheese, coconut, food coloring (optional), paper towels, tooth picks, chocolate chips.
1. First, get all your items ready. Take a little bit of coconut, put on a paper plate, and put one SMALL drop of food coloring on it. Stir the coconut together, until all mixed up. This is important to do first, so the food coloring has time to dry before using it later!
2. Cut off small piece of your banana. The piece should be shorter than the toothpicks that you will be using later on.

3. Using a butter knife spread the cream cheese lightly over the outside of the banana, making a “sticky” surface. You may opt to do it with your fingers, if this is easier.

4. Roll the banana piece in the coconut, so that the sides are covered in coconut. It’s not necessary to have coconut on the top or bottom.

5. Set the banana aside, and let dry. While it is drying, cut a few slices out of an orange. You may need to ask someone to help you.

6. Taking the two largest slices, place tooth picks into the orange rind, around the entire orange. Do not put any toothpicks in the middle. You can never have too many toothpicks.
7. Take two chocolate chip cookies, and put a TINY amount of cream cheese onto the bottom of the chocolate chip. Place the two chocolate chips on the banana, towards the top, making “eyes”.

8. Place the banana onto the orange, between the toothpicks, and put the other piece of orange on top.
Ending product will look like one of these in the pictures.
